Kochi: The High Court of Kerala on Thursday ordered removal of Vellappally Natesan as the General Secretary of the Aruvipuram Sree Narayana Dharma Paripalana Yogam (SNDP Yogam), media reports said.
A single bench of the court gave the verdict as they failed to file audited accounts for 3 consecutive years violating the provisions of the Companies Act.
The court ruling came while considering two writ petitions of SNDP Yogam members M K Sanoo and M K Saseendran against Natesan and others.
The petitioners said the annual returns of the Yogam had not been filed from 2006 onwards and the State Government had appointed the Inspector General of Registration as an officer to adjudicate the matter.
The writ petition was filed seeking interim directions from the High Court for appointing an Administrator/Receiver for carrying out the management and day to day affairs of the Aruvipuram SNDP Yogam .
