Kochi: Condemning murder of a tailor in Udaipur in the strongest terms, the Ajmer Dargah Deewan Zainul Abedin Ali Khan has said the incident as an “act against humanity”.
Islam propagates peace, not violence and
no Muslim would support such acts, he said.
The tailor Kanhaiya Lal Sahu was brutally murdered in a busy market in Udaipur in Rajasthan reportedly as a retribution to supporting suspended BJP leader Nupur Sharma’s controversial remarks.
He said Indian Muslims never support Talibanisation, media reports said.
A number of Islamic outfits have already condemned the crime, media reports said. Khan said that the perpetrators were a part of certain radical groups which believe in violence.
