CM says government is with survivor

Kochi: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has said that his government would ensure justice  to the survivor of the actor assault case.
The government would ensure that justice is delivered in the case, he said in wake of the survivor moving the High Court accusing the government of attempting to sabotage the case.
The government earnestly wanted the case to go in the right direction.
He referred to the cases of Vismaya and Uttara in this regard.
Police hands would not shake in the case. Police hands are not tied.
Interestingly, party secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan has doubted the motive of the actor for selecting time for moving the court when the by-election is being held.
In another development, former Minister M M Mani’s controversial remarks in the case is likely to impact the government negatively.
Transport Minister Antony Raju’s comments have also come in for criticism.
In her plea, the survivor had reiterated her demands like changing the trial court judge, probe Dileep’s lawyers’ role in destroying the evidence, conduct a proper probe into the leak of the objectionable videos from the court, conduct further investigation of the case in an elaborate manner among others.
