Israel strike on Hezbollah upsets Iran

Kochi: Iran has expressed doubt over the success of its peace deal with the US on Sunday in the wake of fresh Israeli strikes on a centre run by the Teheran-backed group Hezbollah in Beirut.
Iran’s chief negotiator accused the US of failing to honour its commitments to rein in Israel, BBC reported.
The attack on Beirut “should not have happened, particularly on a special day when we are so close to a Peace Deal with Iran”, President Donald Trump writes on Truth Social.
At the same time he said Israel has a “right to defend itself” but the attack it was responding to was “very small and meaningless”.
Trump says there should be no more attacks by Israel or “any other party”.
