Kochi: Home Department under the previous Left Government had sabotaged the probe report into the attack by the then Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan’s gunmen in November 2023 against Congress men, Asianet news reported.

Nava Kerala Sadasu at Alappuzha has found that the report of Alappuzha SP Chaitra Teresa John
was buried by the Home Ministry.
This was unearthed by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) formed to probe attacks on Youth Congress leaders protesting against Pinarayi Vijayan waiving Black flags.
The SIT has gathered evidence from three police men who probed the case when the crime took place.
A top official in charge of Law and Order had intervened to bury the original report.
The SIT found that the case diary was amended at the direction of the top official. However, the SIT has accessed the original report.
The SIT will submit its findings to the DGP in this regard.
Pinarayi’s gunmen Anil Kumar and Sandip S were accused of
bashing the Youth Congress men in December 2023.
The affected Congress men had moved the court which had directed the police to book the erring gunmen.
Four gunmen are accused in the case.
Alappuzha SP Chaitra Teresa John who prepared the report against the gunmen was transferred from Alappuzha.
