No relief for Kejriwal

Kochi: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal suffered a jolt when Delhi High Court refused his petition challenging his arrest by the Enforcement Directorate in the alleged liquor policy scam, media reports said.

The case has been posted for April 3 even as the court directed the ED to respond to Kejriwal’s petition by April 2.

Kejriwal accused the Enforcement Directorate of engaging in “delaying tactics”.

The ED said the copy of the petition was served late and needed time to study the document.

Kejriwal said the petition had been filed on March 23. Kejriwal had said his arrest had violated his human rights, and that the ED had failed to prove the alleged crime.

Kejriwal was arrested by the ED last week in connection with the alleged liquor policy scam. Kejriwal was sent to jail till March 28.
