Kochi: US is holding talks with Iran through Pakistan in Islamabad to find a solution to the Middle East conflict, BBC reported.
The delegations US and Iran talked to Pakistan premier Shehbaz Sharif who expressed hopes of fruitful dialogue.
US President Trump claims Iran is “losing big” in the conflict, and claimed the US is “clearing out” the shipping route of
Strait of Hormuz which has been closed by Tehran.
The preconditions raised by Iran is a ceasefire in Lebanon and the unfreezing of billions of dollars of Iranian assets.
On Iran’s nuclear issue, Tehran insists it has never tried to develop a bomb.
The US wants Iran to bring an end to its Nuke programme.
On the other hand Israel is getting ready for talks with Lebanon next week amidst Israeli military claiming to hit over 200 Hezbollah targets in the last 24 hours.
Lebanon’s health ministry says the country’s death toll since it became involved in the conflict has now passed 2,000.
