US-Iran talks fail

Kochi: US-Iran talks failed to make any headway with Iran refusing to agree to Washington’s demands to end the war, BBC reported.
Iran said the US’ “excessive demands and unlawful requests” were unacceptable.
The US Vice-President J D Vance said the high-stakes peace talks in Islamabad failed.
Meanwhile, the US President Donald Trump says it “makes no difference” to him whether a deal is reached and “regardless what happens, we win”
US navy destroyers sailed through the Strait of Hormuz to clear sea mines while Iran has denied the US Central Command’s claim.
On the other hand, US ally Israel continues to strike Hezbollah targets even as Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says he wants a peace deal with Lebanon that “will last”.
