Kochi: An outstanding batting by former captain Virat Kohli helped India beat their arch rival Pakistan by four wickets in the T20 World Cup at Melbourne Cricket Ground in Australia on Sunday.
Despite India winning the toss and putting Pakistan into bat, the winners struggled to save wickets due to aggressive bowling by Rauf.
Virat remained unbeaten making 82 runs while Hardik Pandya made 40. Suryakumar Yadav made 15. Rest all failed to reach even the double figure. At one time India were 31 for four.
India hit the winning run in the last ball to reach 160 losing six wickets.
For Pakistan Nawaz took two wickets while Shah one.
Batting first, Pakistan made 159 losing eight wickets. S Masood made 52 and remained unbeaten and I Ahmed 51. Pandya and Arshdeep Singh took three wickets each.
