16 CPM leaders arrested

Kochi: A total of 16 CPM workers and leaders were arrested for attacking ED officials during raids at former Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan’s house in Thiruvananthapuram on Wednesday.
The Directorate of Enforcement (ED) had raided Vijayan’s house in connection with money laundering charges of Rs 2.70 crore against Vijayan’s daughter Veena Vijayan.
Veena is accused of getting remuneration from CMRL for not providing any services.
The Police have registered cases against 300 identifiable individuals with charges including attempted murder.
Police have booked 57 cpm leaders under various charges during ED raids at Pinarayi’s son in Law Muhammad Riyas house in Kozhikode on Wednesday.
