Kochi: Kerala DGP Ravada Chandrasekhar has said that a comprehensive probe was needed to find out the truth behind the allegations against police atrocities in the state, Asianet reported.
Action will be taken on incidents which skipped out of the investigation, he said while addressing the north range meeting.
He blamed a few police men for tarnishing the image of the entire force due to their misdeeds.
Ravada claimed there were fictitious cases coming up against the police.
He sought action against the erring police men.
Video footage of police bashing a Congress leader in Kunnamkulam police station brutally and Peechi police assaulting a few representatives of a businessman had led to a long list of victims of police atrocity opening up against the police across the state in the media.
