Kochi: In a double blow, Kerala High Court on Friday rejected interim bail to Reporter Broadcasting (RBC) chief Anto Augustine accused of possessing liquor in breach of permissible limits.The Court rejected Augustine’s plea challenging a Wayanad Court’s ruling dismissing his bail petition earlier in the day.The Judicial First Class Magistrate Court in Sulthan’s Battery had rejected the bail plea of Augustine keeping him in District Jail in Mananthavady in Wayanad. Meanwhile, the Excise Department is planning to move the court seeking his custody in connection with the case, Asianet news reported.A total of 12.75 litres of liquor was seized from his house during a police raid in connection with a fictitious plan to host a football match at Kochi participated by Lionel Messi and other Argentinian football players.Augustine is facing serious allegations on tax evasion and alleged financial fraud in connection with Messi case.
