Kochi: In a major security lapse, the President Droupadi Murmu’s helicopter got stuck in the freshly laid helipad in Pramadam in Kerala, media reports said.
The President was visiting Sabarimala temple when the Indian Air Force helicopter landed at the Pramadam Indoor Stadium.
The helipad’s concrete was laid just the previous day. She continued her journey to Sabarimala by road.
The helicopter was originally scheduled to land in Nilakkal. The plan was changed due to adverse weather conditions.
President Murmu is on a four-day visit to Kerala. She arrived Thiruvananthapuram yesterday to visit the hill shrine of Sabarimala on October 22.
