Kochi: A person with suspected case of monkeypox is under observation in the state, media reports said.
The person had come to Kerala three days back from UAE.
With the person showing signs of the disease, he has been isolated, the reports said.
His samples have been sent to the virology institute in Pune.
The result is expected to come out Thursday evening.
Another person with whom he had contact in UAE has confirmed of contracting the monkey pox.
The health ministry has said there is no need to worry now.
