Kochi: Former bureaucrat and BJP leader C V Ananda Bose will become West Bengal Governor which fell vacant after Jagdeep Dhankar was elected the Vice President of the country.
Hailing from Mannanam in Kottayam in Kerala, the 71-year-old Bose has served as Secretary, Government of India, Chief Secretary, Vice Chancellor among others.
A product of BITS, Pilani, Bose has proved his expertise in low cost housing. He had a chance to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi on March 4, 2014.
Bose is known for his knowledge in good governance, science and technology, agriculture, rural development, education, tourism among others.
He has represented the county in the European Council for Nuclear Research, Geneva and International Fusion Energy Organisation ITER, France. He was the head of the Supreme Court committee on the treasures of Sree Padmanabhaswamy temple.
Bose has penned 32 books in different languages. The credit goes to him for starting District Tourism Promotion Council in 1986 in Kerala. It was he who floated the plan to offer medicines at discounted rates under Dhanwantri Kendra.
