Kochi: In a setback to Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), party Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha quit AAP to join the BJP on Friday, media reports said.
Chadha claimed that over two-thirds of the members of the party in the Rajya Sabha are also merging with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
Chadha announced this at a press conference with Sandeep Pathak and Ashok Mittal.
“We have decided that we, the two-thirds members belonging to the AAP in Rajya Sabha, exercise the provisions of the Constitution of India and merge ourselves with the BJP,” he said.
Raghav Chadha was in loggerheads with the AAP leadership.
