Kochi: Daring criticisms from different corners,
CPM-led Left government’s outreach programme, Nava Kerala Sadas, is all set to take off from the northern tip of Manjeshwaram in Kasaragod in Kerala today, media reports said.
The month-long programme, led by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and his cabinet colleagues, aims to highlight the
government‘s achievements it had achieved in the past seven years and future plans in the pipeline.
The mobile secretariat also aims to find solutions to the grievances of the people.
A specially designed bus with attached toilet, conference room, resting place among others has reached the venue from Bengaluru.
Complaints will be collected through counters.
The tour will culminate at Vattiyoorkavu in Thiruvananthapuram on December 23.
The ministers will interact with people in a bid to address their problems. Separate counters have been set up for senior citizens, differently-abled persons and women.
The status of complaints can be tracked on www.navakeralasadas.kerala.gov.in. The opposition Congress flayed the government for being extravagant at a time when the state is reeling under financial crises. KPCC president K Sudhakaran said the government was mocking the public by holding the event.
The same LDF had strongly criticised the people contact programme carried out by the Congress -led opposition from 2011 to 2016, the reports said.
