Kochi: A father-in-law gave a contract to his daughter-in-law to kill his wife to marry another woman at Bhopal in Madhya Pradesh.
The daughter-in-law Kanchan, who also hated her mother-in-law, was offered an amount of Rs 4,000 to kill the 50-year-old Saroj hailing from Rewa in Madhya Pradesh, media reports said.
The Father-in-law Valmiki Kaul also promised to pay Kanchan a monthly remuneration to carry out the murder.
The body of Saroj was found on July 12 the day on which Kanchan killed her mother-in-law and left for her husband’s place while Valmiki went to a relative’s house in Satna, the reports said.
Kanchan hit Saroj with a frying pan making her unconscious. Later she slit Saroj’s throat with a dagger.
Both of them have confessed to their crime.
