Kochi: An arrest warrant pending against Bihar’s new Law Minister Karthikeya Singh of the RJD has jolted Chief Minister Nitish Kumar who feigned ignorance about the case.
Singh and many others are facing arrest in an abduction case with the intention to eliminate a builder.
A court had on July 14 issued an arrest warrant directing the police to produce Singh before it in connection with the case that took place in 2014.
Singh, belonging to the Deputy Chief Minister Tejaswi Yadav’s Rashtriya Janata Dal, moved an anticipatory bail before the Additional District Sessions Court, Danapur, on August 12. The court prevented his arrest until September 1, 2022.
The police have already filed a chargesheet in the case.
