Kochi: Delhi Chief Arvind Kejriwal was remanded to Enforcement Directorate custody for seven days in the alleged liquor policy scam case, media reports said.The ED had sought 10 days custody of Kejriwal before the Rouse Avenue Court.The ED described Arvind Kejriwal the “kingpin” and “key conspirator” in the alleged scam, the reports said.The ED said the alleged scam exceeded Rs 600 crore. The ED claimed that a kickback of Rs 45 crore were used to fund the AAP’s Goa and Punjab elections in 2022. The Bharat Rashtra Samithi leader K Kavitha was arrested last week in connection with the scam.Kejriwal is the first Chief Minister to be arrested in an alleged corruption case.The ED described Kejriwal as “the brain behind the party” and held the Chief Minister responsible for all affairs of the AAP. The defense lawyer Singhvi told the court that there was no need for the ED to arrest Kejriwal.
