Kochi: All eyes are on the Supreme Court where the BJP-led government will make its position clear about helping debt-ridden Kerala to tide over its financial crisis on Wednesday, media reports said.The Supreme Court on Tuesday directed the Centre to consider diluting the borrowing limits of Kerala for the current financial year before March 31, 2024, as a one-time measure as a special case.
The Court said that the Centre could think of imposing more rigid conditions on the state from next financial year.The Centre agreed to come with a solution on Wednesday morning. Last week, the Centre refused Kerala’s request to allow borrowing of Rs 19,351 crore.
The centre argued that any consideration of Kerala could become a precedent, the reports said.
