Pak targets Afghanistan

Kochi: Pakistan targeted Afghanistan on Friday and declared that it was at “open war” after Kabul attacked Islamabad on Thursday, media reports said.
Afghanistan attacked Pakistan border areas on Friday in retaliation to the Islamabad attack on Kabul earlier.
Ties between Pakistan and Afghanistan deteriorated with Pakistan shutting its borders with Kabul in October, 2025.
Over 70 people on both sides were killed in the subsequent clashes.
Qatar brokered conciliatory talks between Afghanistan and Pakistan failed to produce a lasting agreement.
Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said his country’s armed forces can “have the full capability to crush any aggressive ambitions”.
The Afghan Defence Ministry reported eight of its soldiers had been killed in the land offensive.
