Kochi: The heavily debt-ridden KSRTC cracked its whip on 137 workers as part of its anti liquor drive against its employees, media reports said.
Forty temporary employees were terminated while 97 permanent employees were suspended.
Forty-nine permanent drivers and 33 conductors were among those who were found inebriated during duty hours.
Those taken to task include a station master and vehicle supervisors for allegedly consuming and storing alcohol while on duty.
