Kochi: Kerala State Small Industries Association (KSSIA) state committee office will be inaugurated by Electricity Minister Krishnankutty at Kalamassery on September 6.
The minister will also open the 62nd Annual General Body meeting and a Face to Face programme, a press release of the KSSIA signed by P J Jose, state General Secretary, KSSIA, said.
KSSIA state president A Nizarudeen will preside. For the first time in South India, the KSSIA will sign an MoU with
Government e Marketplace (GeM) where common user goods and services can be procured in the presence of Krishnankutty.
Prakash Miranis Joint Secretary and Additional CEO, Ministry of Commerce, A V Muralidharan, Deputy Director General and Deputy CEO to be present.
Atleast 300 delegates represting the small scale industries in 14 districts across the state will attend the event.
GeM is a dynamic, self sustaining and user-friendly portal for making procurement by Government officers.
Public procurement forms a very important part of Government activity and reform in Public Procurement is one of the top priorities of the present Government. GeM is a very bold step of the Government with the aim to transform the way in which procurement of goods and services is done by the Government Ministries and Departments, Public Sector Undertakings and other apex autonomous bodies of the Central Government.
