Kochi: The toll in the devastating landslides in Wayanad in North Kerala has risen to 340, media reports said.
A total of 206 persons are missing. One hundred sixteen bodies have been handed over to their relatives.
DNA samples of 130 bodies have been collected. Eightysix persons are being treated in different hospitals. Ninetone relief camps are functioning to provide food and shelter to the affected people.The search operations have been stopped for the fourth day.
Meanwhile, Lok Sabha Opposition Leader Rahul Gandhi of Congress visited the affected areas along with his sister Priyanka Gandhi. They interacted with the affected people.
