Kochi: Cardiologist Dr Jo Joseph will be the LDF candidate in Thrikkakara by election to be held on May 31.
A resident of Thrikkakara constituency, Dr Joseph is a writer and social worker and is associated with a private hospital.
He had contributed in a big way during the floods in 2018, CPM leader E P Jayarajan said.
Orthopaedian Dr J Jacob had unsuccessfully contested against P T Thomas in the last election.
