Kochi: An ex serviceman Manikandan has been arrested for allegedly trying to abuse a minor school student at Thenhipalam in Calicut University campus, media reports said.
Manikandan, a temporary security guard of Calicut University, stopped three school girls who were going to their homes through the university campus, reports said.
Later, he called one of them near him and took her to a remote area where he allegedly abused her.
He has been terminated from temporary service of the university.
