Kochi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday accused the CPM-led Left front and Congress-led UDF of being hand in glove in duping people of Kerala in the last several decades.
Addressing thousands of women at the BJP State Mahila conference at Thrissur, he said the Congress and CPM have joining hands under the I.N.D.I.A front to defeat the BJP is a glaring example of it.
Modi highlighted the guarantee schemes of the BJP government and said the past Congress Governments had failed to introduce anything like women’s reservation, triple talaq ban, LPG Ujwala scheme, drinking water schemes among others.
Slamming the I.N.D.I.A front for hurting the religious sentiments of the people, Modi flayed the LDF for playing with the sentiments of Sabarimala pilgrims. He also referred to the gold smuggling issue in Kerala.
He said that he was blessed by Bishops from different parts of the country.Earlier, the Prime Minister arrived at Nedumbassery by a special flight from Agathi and reached Thrissur in a helicopter.
