Kochi: In a freak incident, a peacock claimed the life of a motorist who was pillion riding his wife at Thrissur on Monday. The incident occurred when the big bird came hovering and hit on the chest of Pramod, 34, who lost control over the vehicle crashed on the ground on Ayyanthol -Puzhakkal road. The bird also died in the mishap. His wife and another motorcyclist passing that way sustained injuries. They were taken to the hospital where their condition was stated to be out of danger.
Pramod and wife Veena were working in a private bank and they had got married four months ago.
