Kochi: Neeraj Chopra has won the
Neeraj Chopra Classic 2025 javelin event at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium in Bengaluru today, media reports said.
Chopra claimed top spot with a best throw of 86.18m amid unfavourable weather conditions.
This is the first-ever international javelin competition in India.
Two-time Olympic medalist Neeraj claimed top spot in the tournament named after him. The 2016 Olympic silver medalist, Julius Yego of Kenya, finished second here, with a throw of 84.51m.
Sri Lankan Rumesh Pathirage came third with 84.34 m.
India’s Sachin Yadav came fourth with a throw of 82.33m.
