Kochi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi conducted a roadshow from the Ernakulam Maharaja College ground to the government guest house on Tuesday night.
Modi was flanked by State party chief K Surendran in an open vehicle during the show when people shouted ‘Modi’ throughout.
BJP Ernakulam district president K S Shaiju said about thousands of party workers took part.
Earlier, the Governor , Chief Minister Union Minister V Muraleedharan and BJP leader Prakash Javadekar received the Prime Minister at the airport.
Modi will leave for Guruvayur where he pray at the famous Lord Sree Krishna temple and attend the marriage of the daughter of Suresh Gopi’s who is touted to be party candidate from Thrissur in the Lok Sabha polls.
The Prime Minister will pray at Sree Ramaswami Temple at Triprayar in Thrissur district.
He will return to Kochi to dedicate to the nation the international vessel repairing centre and new dry dock at the Cochin Shipyard at Willingdon Island in Kochi.
Later, he will address a party meeting of around 6,000 in-charges of ‘shakti kendras’ at Marine Drive.
