Prosecutor in soup in ED attack case

Kochi: Signs of a government Prosecutor helping a CPM worker accused of attacking ED sleuths secure bail despite Police’s Opposition have surfaced, Asianet News reported. Harish, who is the 9th accused, got bail from the Thiruvananthapuram Sessions court on Wednesday as prosecution did not oppose the bail ignoring police demand opposing the bail. Harish was arrested along with many other CPM workers who attacked the Directorate of Enforcement (ED) officials who were raiding former Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan’s house in connection with a money laundering case against his daughter T Veena on May 27. Harish’s bail plea was allowed with a set of conditions which include executing bail bond of ₹50,000 with two solvent sureties for the like sum each to the satisfaction of the JFMC-3, Thiruvanathapuram.
