Kochi: The Crime branch and other officials are conducting raids at actor Dileep’s firms and his brother Anoop Kumar’s house in Aluva today.
The raids which started at 11.30 am were continuing in places including his Production house and his brother Anoop’s house.
The crime branch team is led by Mohana Chandran, SP.
The raid started in a filmi style with a sleuth of the crime branch team scaling the locked gate to get it opened to let in other sleuths into the premises, media reports said.
The officials reached the actor’s house Padmasarovaram near Aluva palace to collect evidence in the backdrop of depositions made by Director Balachandra Kumar
before the investigation team a few days back.
Dileep, who was not at home, rushed home in the middle of the raids.
Kumar had alleged that Dileep viewed the clippings of the actor who was abused in a moving vehicle on February 17, 2017, by prime accused Pulsar Sunu as per the direction of the actor.
Kumar also deposed that Dileep had conspired with others to harm some police officials investigating the actor abuse case.
An FIR was filed against Dileep whose anticipatory bail would be considered by the Kerala High Court on Friday.
Dileep spent three months in jail in 2017 after the prime accused Pulsar Suni accused Dileep of being the mastermind in the case.
He was released on bail.
