Kochi: Russia has nabbed an ISIS agent for plotting to target a top leader of the ruling alliance in India, media reports said.
Russia’s Federal Security Service nabbed the agent who was planning to fly to India to execute his plans with someone’s local support, the reports said.
The accused, recruited by ISIS from Turkey between April and June was planning to carry out a suicide attack to eliminate the target the name of whom has not been revealed.
The detainee swore allegiance to the Emir of ISIS which is banned in Russia. The attack was said to be a retribution to the hate speech made against the prophet.
