Kochi: Continuing its tirade against Kerala Governor, the Students Federation of India (SFI) of CPM torched the effigy of Arif Mohammad Khan in Kannur on
Sunday, media reports said.
The left students’ outfit burnt a 30-foot-tall effigy at Payyambalam beach to demonstrate its protest against the Governor accusing him of implementing BJP government’s agenda in the state.
SFI district secretary E S Sanjeev alleged that the Governor was making efforts to saffronise universities in the state. Such things would not be tolerated in the State, reports quoting him said.
