Kochi: In a startling revelation, an 18-year old girl accused over 60 persons of raping her for the last 5 years since she was 13 years old in Pattanamthitta leading to the arrest of 5 persons, media reports said.Based on a complaint received by the Child Welfare Committee (CMC) from the girl, FIRs have been registered under POCSO Act against 40 accused in different police stations.
Reports quoting police said that there is a possibility of the number going up. The CWC handed over the complaint to the Superintendent of Police. A special investigation team has been set up to probe into the allegations.
The girl, who is a sportsperson, has levelled allegations against coaches, sportspersons, and friends.
Some of them took her pictures, the reports said.
She was first abused by a friend.
