Kochi: Insatiable 75-year-old former Union Minister K V Thomas of Congress has lost all political decency to stoop to the level of backstabbing Congress at a time when the party is in crisis.
The party gave him much more than he really deserved and still Thomas is not happy even at this stage of his life, political observers said.
In a TV debate, he said he had a very good association with P T Thomas and his family but politics was different from friendship.
After expressing tremendous trust in Thomas all these days, Uma Thomas today changed her stand stating that she could not believe Thomas’ decision which she said was unfortunate.
In a graceful response, she said Thomas was a big leader in Ernakulam for about five decades. It is really unfortunate if he has really decided to work against her.
It is really depressing to see party leaders ditching it for their selfish interests, observers said.
Thomas’ decision reminds those Congress leaders who were not worried about posts and positions. Leaders like K Kamaraj, Lal Bahadur Shastri, A K Antony and others who added glory to the party, the observers.
Kamaraj was one who rejected offers to become Prime Minister a number of times.
