Kochi: A mini marathon was organised on
National Sports Day on the birthday of hockey wizard Dhyan Chand by My Bharat Idukki, Thodupuzha Soccer School (TSS), Actymed Health Care at Thodupuzha.
Alappuzha SP and former sports personality Jilson Mathew flagged off the Marathon at Kolany flag off.
Dronacharya P T Joseph and former national coach inaugurated the valedictory function.
My Bharat district officer Sachin, P A Saleem Kutty TSS Director, Aajeesh T Alex, Nisha K Joy, Joshi Mathew, Ananthu Joseph, Abhijit K M spoke.
R S Manoj of M A college Kothamangalam came first. Pranav S of St Thomas Thrissur came second, Christo Siju of St Mary’s Central School of Raja Kumari came third.

Legendary hockey player Dhyan Chand, who was known for his extraordinary ball control and goal-scoring feats, helped India win three Olympic gold medals.
India won the field hockey event in seven out of eight Olympics from 1928 to 1964.
