West Asia situation worrying: PM

Kochi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed concern over the West Asia unrest, media reports.
It has hit the global economy and over one crore people working in the Middle East, Modi said while addressing the Lok Sabha.
He apprised the Lok Sabha on the steps taken to ensure India’s energy security due to the war.
India imports 60% of its LPG and efforts were on to prioritise domestic supply and ensure smooth petrol and diesel supply across the country, he said.
Modi said India’s increased capacity of ethanol-petrol blending has helped in reducing India’s oil imports during the war.
