Kochi: A witness in the Aryan Khan drug bust case, Kiran Gosavi, was arrested by Pune police in connection with a 2018 cheating case. Mumbai police or any other investigation agency have not sought his custody, Pune police said. There are reports that he will be handed over to Mumbai police.
The Pune Police had filed a charge sheet in May 2019 in the cheating case. Gosavi’s associate, Sherbano Kureshi, was earlier arrested in the cheating case which was filed by one Chinmay Deshmukh against Gosavi accusing him of defrauding him Rs 3.09 lakh in the name of getting Chinmay a job in Malaysia.
Gosavi, a private detective, was with the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) when it raided the cruise ship during which Shahrukh Khan’s son was arrested. There were allegations against Gosavi that he had allegedly demanded huge money for the release of Aryan Khan.
