Kochi: Sixteen SDPI activists accused of killing SFI leader Abhimanyu heard the chargesheet filed against them in a city court in Ernakulam on Monday.
All of them denied their role in the crime that took place on July 2, 2018 before the Ernakulam Sessions Court.
The trial got stuck in the middle as key documents of the case disappeared from court’s safe custody. The documents were recreated to pursue the case.
The trial gained pace after a direction was issued to wind up the case in nine months by the High of Kerala which was approached by Abhimanyu ‘s parents.
Even as there are 30 accused in the case,the chargesheet is filed against 16 persons who were directly involved in the crime.
