Bail for nuns

Kochi: Two Kerala nuns were today granted bail by a NIA court in Chhattisgarh after they were arrested for alleged human trafficking and forced religious conversion on July 25.
Sisters Preethi Mary and Vandana Francis, along with Sukaman Mandavi, were taken into custody at Durg railway station based on a complaint of Bajrang Dal activists.
The activists accused them of human trafficking and forcible conversion of three women from Narayanpur.
A sessions court in Durg district had on Thursday disposed of the bail plea of two Kerala nuns, saying that the matter should be heard by an NIA court.
