Kochi: Over Rs 4.5 lakh in cash was recovered from the possession of a beggar Anil Kishore died in a road accident in Kerala’s Alappuzha district.
The money was found in a container recovered from his possession on Monday.
Kishore suffered injuries in a road accident and was admitted to a hospital by the people.
Kishore, who left the hospital without informing anyone, was found dead near a shop on Tuesday morning.
A container found near the body was found to be stacked with the cash.
The cash included the banned Rs 2,000 notes as well as foreign currency.
The cash would be handed over to the court, police said.
