Kochi: A Pakistani national affiliated with Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) was neutralized by Jammu & Kashmir Police on Saturday during Operation Ashdar.
The terrorist identified as Yasir was neutralized in an exchange of fire between suspected terrorists and the troops in Ashdar Gali of Budgam area bases on intelligence input, media reports said. In a post on X, J&K Police said, “You can run but you can’t hide! …”
The operation was launched following specific intelligence inputs about the presence of terrorists in the Ashdar Gali area of Budgam.
The joint operation was conducted by the Indian Army, J&K Police and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF).
The operation remains underway, with security forces continuing search and sanitisation efforts in the area to rule out the presence of any other terrorists.
