Kochi: India has succeeded in securing the deportation of hardened narco-trafficking kingpin Navpreet Singh from Türkiye, Home Minister Amit Shah said.Navpreet Singh continued to smuggle heroin and methamphetamine to India from Afghanistan by obtaining Turkish citizenship under the fake identity of Navab Virk, Amit Shah said in a social media post.Agencies tracked him down, ripping apart veil after veil to unmask his true identity, and secured his deportation back to India to put behind bars in connection with cases involving drug trafficking and other crimes, AIR reported.Congratulating all the agencies involved in unmasking Singh, Shah said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government is committed to destroying every narco-cartel before December 2029.
