Kochi: The Association of Malayalam Movie Artists (AMMA) is in trouble again with the Drishyam fame actor Ansiba Hassan quitting the outfit holding actor Tiny Tom responsible for it, The Indian Express reported.
AMMA Joint Secretary Ansiba accused Tiny of referring to her as a “jihadi” which was denied by the ‘Pranchyettan the Saint’ actor Tom.
Ansiba has alleged that she was forced to resign and that she faced months of trauma.
She accused him of spreading baseless rumours against her.
Ansiba said she also faced mental harassment after an executive committee member accused her of creating problems in her family life.
Meanwhile, AMMA executive committee member Lakshmi Priya accused Ansiba of opposing a temple advertisement. A message sent by Ansiba on phone led to domestic problem, Lakshmi said.
Ansiba said she would continue in her post until the office bearers are elected following the request of the general secretary, Kukku Parameswaran.
AMMA has been in the middle of controversies since its inception with late veteran Tilakan, others including film maker falling out with office bearers including actor Mohan Lal.
The Actor abuse case split it into two with women forming a separate outfit for them after AMMA supported actor Dileep who was acquitted in the case.
The Justice Hema Committee report found problems in the outfit and recommended corrections.
