Bail for Anto

Kochi: The High Court of Kerala on Tuesday, granted conditional bail to Reporter TV Managing Director Anto Augustine for seizing liquor beyond permissible limit at his residence in Wayanad.
The case was registered by the Excise Department’s Kalpetta station under Sections 55(a), 55(i) and 58 of the Kerala Abkari Act. The allegations relate to the possession of liquor in quantities beyond what is legally permitted.
Anto was arrested on September 17 and remanded in judicial custody after a magistrate court and High Court of Kerala rejected his bail plea.
The liquor was during a raid conducted by police probing Anto’s financial dealings in the name of organising a football match of Lionel Messi and Argentina Football team in Kochi.
