Woman dies falling into boiling sambar

Kochi: A 46-year-old woman Sujatha died after falling into steaming sambar during a feast organised in connection with Ganesh Chaturthi at Vijayawada.
Sujatha suffered severe burn injuries and was rushed to a hospital where she succumbed without responding to treatment on September 20.
Police has registered a case in connection with the incident and launched an investigation.
Officials are examining the circumstances that led to the accident and are collecting details from those who were present during the annadanam programme.
