Kochi: Kerala Chief Minister V D Satheesan on Wednesday defended his decision to avail of sponsored air travel to Malappuram to visit rain hit victims’ families.
Justifying the trip, Satheesan said he will continue to use such facilities to save government money, the New Indian Express reported.
Satheesan refused to reveal the details of the person who had sponsored his trip to Malappuram.
Responding to reporters’ queries during a post-Cabinet media briefing, he also defended Minister K M Shaji of Muslim League for using a friend’s vehicle.
Satheesan also defended ministers’ sponsored foreign trips.
