22 killed in bus mishap

Kochi: Twenty-two pilgrims lost their lives when their bus fell into a gorge in Uttarakhand on Sunday. 
The mishap occurred when the bus was going to Yamunotri with 28 passengers, media reports said.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has condoled the death of the pilgrims. The Prime Minister had announced a relief of Rs 2 lakhs each for the families of those who lost their lives in the accident and Rs 50,000 each for the injured in a bus accident in Uttarakhand.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has taken all steps to help the injured.
The National Disaster Response Force is also reaching the spot soon.
Large number of pilgrims are visiting several Himalayan temples as the Covid restrictions are gone.

Char Dham Yatra began with the opening of Gangotri and Yamunotrifor devotees on May 3.  Kedarnath reopen on May 6, and Badrinath opened on May 8.
